First Look At Microsoft Windows 8

Windows 8 is on its way, and it will be a departure from the Windows we know and love today.

Instead of the traditional desktop with windows, a taskbar, a start menu, and so on, Microsoft brings in an interface that looks similar to Windows Phone 7, its smartphone operating system—complete with touchfriendly live tiles.
Within a particular application itself a users can swipe a finger in from the right edge of the screen to make menu items for that program to appear or swipe from the left side to switch be tween open applications.

Below video demonstrates some features in windows 8.

The video also shows regular Windows programs running in a separate, traditional desktop mode that you can switch to with just the press of a button.
Applications made specifically for Windows 8 will be a somewhat different as they’ll use the power of HtML 5.
Windows 8 is that it’s another step toward making PCs more tabletlike as Apple is making Mac os X more iPadlike with Lion’s iosinspired features, though Windows 8 seems to go one step further in merging the tablet and thePC.

Google Plus experience

Even though our much awaited Google plus launched for testing couple of week ago, i got an invitation only yesterday. I'm sharing some of my experiences.

Google has come up with pretty amazing features this time, but many of them looks to be a copy of proven ideas of other sites like twitter, foursquare, facebook etc. Our advantage is that we are getting it all under one domain "google plus".

Circles:- It's nothing but an organizing feature for your friends list. I was always wondered why this feature is not in facebook. Whenever i need to post or comment a personal thing it was not possible in facebook to avoid your collegue. The procedure in FB was to create group, add poeple, convince them to accept and then posting to them. It's made easy now with circles, we can now catalogerize them and post however we want.

Hangouts:- It's is the most innovative thing in google plus as it's not just multiple video calling feature, but really it's a hangout. Authorized people can come and go in face to face just like we are hanging out with them in a room. Let's look forward how it evolves.

Huddle and spark didn't impress me as the words gave me lots of expectation. Huddle in google plus is nothing but sending message to a group. I expected it would be a new version of group chat. Spark is somewhat like following blog topics.
Google plus adopted "follow me" concept from twitter completely to it. It's really feasible. Tnx to twitter for this amazing discovery.

Coming to android application, Instant upload works great. But it's an old feature. The new one i noticed is "search nearby"  and "checkin". These are copy down features from foursquared. Really it claims some privacy.

Tnx for reading bye....
